Austur running group

An early-morning group run from the Austur gym; everyone is welcome, and the group is on Facebook.

Sunday walks

Easy guided walks around the Hérað area led by locals; people share cars from the club house. Everyone is welcome and you don't need to be a member. The club also runs day trips and family trips in summer.

Rescue-team youth unit Héraðsstubbar

The youth unit of the Hérað rescue team (ICE-SAR): first aid, navigation, mountain skills and trips with experienced rescuers. Contact the team or the ICE-SAR office (570 5900) for meeting times.
