Kayaking, sailing and sea sports

A club for sailing, kayaking and other sea sports in Eskifjörður. During European Sports Week in September 2026 it ran free kayak courses, with sea swimming at the same spot; courses are announced on Facebook. Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Rescue-team youth unit Særún

The youth unit of the Brimrún rescue team (ICE-SAR): first aid, navigation, mountain skills and trips with experienced rescuers. Contact the team or the ICE-SAR office (570 5900) for meeting times.
